Caroline's new children's album, I Will Go Into The Day, will be released on January 11, 2014. This album's theme is the great outdoors - from mountains to backyards to oceans. It also celebrates the joys and importance of imaginative play. Adults and children alike will love this album for its fast-paced, happy tunes, but also for its diversity in musical styles. Caroline and her band play jazz, bluegrass, country, western swing, yiddish, and country blues on this record. Most of the songs are Caroline's, but she also includes John the Rabbit, a Mississippi folk song, and Donna Donna, a beautiful and plaintive Yiddish folk song made famous by Joan Baez. Caroline also gathered a choir of almost 30 children to sing on the album, mostly from her neighborhood. You can hear the kids singing and snapping on many of the songs. Lastly, Caroline works her poetry into these songs, so that you might linger on lines from the songs as much as you might remember their clear melodies. I will go into the day, and see the beauty come what may...on Zelleria Records. Caroline will start selling the CD from this website on January 11th. Until then one may purchase the album at her two favorite hometown stores: Decatur CD and Little Shop of Stories in Decatur, GA.
