Caroline is thrilled to be returning as songwriter-in-residence at the Appalachian Writers' Workshop at Hindman Settlement School in eastern Kentucky. Known as "a vibrant beacon for progressive learning, community enrichment, and cultural exploration in the Central Appalachian region," Hindman Settlement School has a long history of championing and supporting the cultural arts and heritage of Appalachia. This year, both Wendell Berry and Lee Smith will participate in the 40th anniversary of the workshop. Also joining this year is Caroline's husband, Joseph Crespino. Both will lead afternoon workshops. Caroline also looks forward to teaching alongside friends Silas House, Marianne Worthington, George Ella Lyon, Fenton Johnson, and Amanda Jo Runyon.
Thanks, Hindman! We can't wait!
